Wedding and Events Coordinator
As Sales and Wedding Coordinator, you will be the ambassador for Derwent Manor Boutique Hotel and will be absolutely obsessed with weddings and creating great memories. From handling the initial enquiry, to conducting viewings and planning and coordinating the details of the events, you will be sales driven, highly motivated with impeccable attention to detail and a creative flair. The successful candidate will already be an experienced sales and wedding coordinator.

Your role:

Key responsibilities to your role:

  • Maximise and drive all wedding sales in order to achieve the wedding target for each year.
  • To be commercially aware and yield the wedding business accordingly using the agreed pricing strategy.
  • Respond to all wedding and sales enquiries in a timely, confident and professional manner to qualify the enquiry into a sale.
  • To be the bride or grooms main point of contact at all times, responding to enquiries, conducting site visits and virtual showrounds and securing the sale.
  • To communicate effectively throughout the whole process up until the wedding day and to ensure that a smooth handover is delivered to the operations team.
  • To execute the wedding sales and marketing plan including ownership our wedding Instagram account.
  • To report monthly on the wedding business, identifying opportunities/risks and working closely with the Senior Sales Team and Directors to eliminate said risk.
  • Plan, organise and attend Wedding Fayres, Wedding Open Days and Evenings, both on-site and off-site.
  • To manage all external wedding suppliers to ensure that they are working collaboratively towards the hotels goals.
  • Be present on the day of all weddings to ensure a smooth handover with the operations team.
  • To be fully knowledgeable of the wedding market and raise the profile of Derwent Manor within the wedding market through partnerships and collaborations.

About You

  • Proven wedding sales experience including enquiry handing and wedding coordination for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Sound knowledge of the wedding industry.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and written.
  • Excellent problem solving, organisational and time management skills
  • A highly-motivated individual who can demonstrate success.
  • Impeccable attention to detail / detail orientated and methodical.
  • The ability to adapt to change quickly with a positive attitude.
  • Has a creative and positive energy.
  • Knowledge of sales and catering is preferred.
