Full Time: 37.5 hours per week term time only, 9 - 12 months Maternity Cover


Salary : £23,000+ dependent on experience


Location: West Cross Swansea

Are you looking to build a rewarding career in social care where you can make a difference to children's lives? We are looking for a General Teacher to join the team.

What does the Teacher's role involve?


  • You will play an active role in supporting the planning and development of programs that addresses the individual needs of our children and young people.
  • With support and guidance from the Head of Education, you will work across all areas of our curriculum to deliver high quality teaching and learning opportunities to all pupils.
  • You will be required to set out individual learning pathways which support our pupils' potential to live more independently; developing academic, social and personal skills; whilst paying close attention to the development of meaningful accredited and non-accredited learning schemes for all who attend our service

Where is the role based?


You will be working 37.5 hours per week term time only at Dan Y Coed in West Cross Swansea.

What do you need to be a General Teacher?


  • Qualified Teacher (QTS) or FE teaching Qualification with SEN or Management Qualifications are desirable

  • Ideally you will have a proven track record in the delivery of specialist education to those with autism and Asperger's syndrome

  • Passionate about improving the lives of others;

  • Innovative, enthusiastic and inspirational;
  • An effective strategic, creative thinker and implementer;
  • An excellent communicator
