Role Summary

This role is for a 9mth Fixed Term Contract.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • The initial task will be to manage a bank reconciliation project and oversee the cleardown of unreconciled items by writing new rules in a recently implemented matching system and enlisting the support and buy in for the AP and AR teams

  • Assist in the mapping of a balance sheet review project, ensuring the system is set up correctly

  • Review of existing finance policies and procedures, preparation/documentation of new policies and assisting with relevant implementation

  • Review and documentation of existing controls and development of new ones

  • Review and improvement of systems tools and reporting, supporting finance processes

  • Assist in the implementation of a new ERP system

  • Assist the General Ledger team with BAU tasks as and when required

  • Provide training on any new finance processes and support for the General Ledger Manager, Financial Controller and the team on a day-to-day basis.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Have recent knowledge of working in a Project Accounting or Management Accounting role

  • Have strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Background and experience in a Senior Accountancy role where you provided support to higher management and delivered financial analysis as part of your daily function.

  • Project management skills, experience and qualification would be an advantage.

  • Possess the gravitas and tenacity to enable the resolution of issues across various areas of the business

  • Qualified or final stages of studying towards ACCA/CIMA
