Night Porter Full Time

Quarter is looking for a reliable and customer focused Night Porter to join the team at the Rodney Hotel. If you are a friendly and personable night owl with a can-do attitude and customer service experience then this could be the right role for you!

Key information for the Night Porter role:

36 hours per week (Sunday night - Wednesday night each week)

£9.20 - £9.50 per hour (£10 per hour overtime rate for any cover shifts above your average contracted hours) plus monthly bonuses

A typical week! Night Porter shifts start at 10:00pm, and finish at 7:00am. Based at the The Rodney Hotel, in this particular position you will be consistently working Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

About our ideal Night Porter:

We are looking for a friendly and personable individual with a can-do attitude and customer service experience who can remain calm under pressure and can provide our guests with the 'home from home' welcoming service that we are known for! You will also be providing a sense of security for guests overnight. Due to the nature of the role, flexibility and the ability to react at late notice would be helpful. You will also need to have a good understanding of English and be confident using computer systems.

What you?ll be doing as Night Porter:

Reporting to the Hotel Assistant Manager and Operations Manager, as Night Porter you will be involved in the following:

  • Providing a first point of contact for our guests - responding to any needs they may have

  • Checking guests in and out

  • Taking payments from our guests and looking after all cash over your shift

  • Security of the hotel overnight

  • Selling rooms

  • Problem solving - knowing when to escalate to management and how to communicate solutions to guests effectively

This position will involve working on your own, so you will need good time management and the ability to make decisions.

Coronavirus considerations:

Successful applicants need to be able to work within the chosen hotel. Full training and all necessary PPE will be provided to ensure you remain safe.

The interview process:
