Your role at a glance

We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Service Analyst to join Legal & General Insurance!

You?ll be working closely alongside our Head of IT Service Management to manage optimal service availability, incident and change requests, whilst also re-aligning processes across the business. This is a unique opportunity for someone with an organised, self-sufficient mindset to support the management of service level agreements across all relevant functions and act as an operational interface between the business, service providers and support teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Working collaboratively with Legal & General Insurance Business Unit functions, key users and delivery teams to provide optimal provision of service levels to all our colleagues

  • Providing a focal point for colleagues in the event of serious system failure and service disruptions/escalations; managing these incidents and ensuring timely communication to stakeholders

  • Supporting the definition of policies and procedures for operational production technology services

  • Assessing and reviewing changes to the production environments and work on the maintenance of effective documentation

  • Streamlining service management processes and ensuring their adoption across different business units

  • Producing and defining documentation for the performance of IT services

  • Identifying risks, issues and opportunities for improvement across the service management function

What we're looking for

  • In order to succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record of working in a customer facing, process driven IT Operational role

  • You will be knowledgeable in IT Service Management best practice, ideally within an IT outsourced environment

  • Naturally, you will have excellent organisational skills and take pride in your structured and planned approach

  • Strong problem solving, judgment and decision-making skills are important

  • Great interpersonal skills are key to this role ? you will be confident engaging a broad range of people across different business units and functions

  • ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation qualified would be great however this is not essential
