Senior Commercial Reporting Analyst

Salary: £32,000 to £40,000 + Pension + 25 days holiday

Location: Working from home during Covid & thereafter Bradford with flexible/remote working arrangements

Purpose of the Role:

Great opportunity to join a newly formed commercial assurance team & help provide commercial and financial opportunities for the business to drive outperformance, through the proficient use of data analytics and intelligence.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing high credible commercial assurance reporting;

  • To develop sustainable and robust monitoring, tracking and reporting data analytical systems to provide commercial assurance against commercial policies and procedures; and,

  • To translate complex commercial data into high quality management information.

The role holder will be required to carry out process compliance audits to assess effectiveness by performing walk through testing, to ensure that controls are consistently applied.

What will the role involve?

  • To take a leading role in developing sustainable, robust systems that reliance can be placed upon in providing high quality management information.

  • To undertake in-depth data analysis, converting complex data in to translatable and actionable information.

  • Undertake in-depth analytics of procure to pay commercial data sets, identifying relationships/patterns to develop insights.

  • To support the Management Team in defining metrics, data and reporting requirements in support of the business and performance management processes, including updating and maintenance of the Balance Scorecard.

  • Implementing enhancements to the systems that monitor controls governing the procure to pay processes and ensuring that these are embedded within the business.

  • To produce formal commercial assurance reports for upward reporting.

  • Takes ownership for core commercial reporting for senior stakeholders to promote areas of key risk and opportunity.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Qualified to at least Degree Level (e.g. Finance, Engineering, Compliance)

  • Significant experience in advanced excel (Power Query) and BI reporting and analytics (DAX)

  • Experience in developing technical solutions with the ability to translate approved business requirements into deliverable output and fit for purpose solutions

  • Ability to pick up and own issues or projects on behalf of the team

  • Implementing process changes to enhance commercial internal controls

  • Experience of researching and analysing complex information and processes.
