Resettlement Officer Full Time

We have temporary vacancies for Resettlement Officers to support households in temporary accommodation in finding alternative settled accommodation in the Private Rented Sector (PRS).



12 month contracts



Requirements of the role will be to:



  • Develop and ensure new tenants have a full resettlement support package in place.

  • Liaise with landlords and other providers to ensure a ready supply of accommodation is available for homeless household?s occupation.

  • Ensure a swift response to Housing Benefit queries from both landlords and tenants.

  • Provide robust housing advice and assistance in line with current legislation and council policies to anyone with a housing related need.

  • Work with applicants to find solutions that will prevent or relieve homelessness.

  • Closely monitor applicants placed in temporary accommodation and move from bed & breakfast as soon as possible.

  • Construct accurate case notes and record all activity on Locata.

  • Adopt a wider approach to housing options by delivering advice and address customer?s wider housing queries.

As a result of the creation of BCP Council in 2019, we are working on simplifying our terms and conditions of service and will be creating a single pay structure which all of our employees will move on to. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for the role.
