About the role:

As an HR Advisor, you will be providing generalist support to the wider business in a manufacturing environment, providing cover for an existing member of staff who will be going on maternity leave therefore, will be a 9-month fixed term position.

You will need to be proactive with providing HR support to the wider business. To be successful in this role, you will be a resilient self-starter, an effective organiser and already have experience in a HR generalist position.

As an excellent communicator, you will be able to deal confidently with internal and external customers verbally; over the telephone or face to face, and in writing. You will work with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring maintenance of information and integrity of data records.

Hours:

21 hours per week between the hours of 7:30am-4pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am-12:30pm on a Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise, coach and support all managers and stakeholders on all aspects of day to day operational HR including employee relations, discipline, grievance, absence, promotion, selection, performance, training and development.
  • Provide support and advice to employees on all aspects of day to day operational HR including employee relations, discipline, grievance, absence, promotion, selection, performance, training and development.
  • Liaise effectively with all levels of management teams ensuring there is a collaborative working relationship.
  • Manage and provide support for the recruitment, selection and onboarding process which will include inducting and assisting with interviewing.
  • Monitor and report on metrics to measure HR's of the organisation on a monthly basis.
  • Review and update Company HR policies and procedures on an ongoing basis to ensure they comply with up to date legislation and best practice.
  • Generating correspondence relating to employee lifecycle; contractual changes, probation extensions, sickness absence, maternity/paternity/shared parental leave, disciplinary and grievance matters & performance management.
  • To plan, organise and deliver training when required.
  • Organising and minute taking at meetings; disciplinary and grievance hearings.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.

Key Attributes and Qualifications

  • Ideally have experience in a manufacturing environment
  • CIPD Level 3 minimum, ideally working towards level 5
  • At least one years experience in a stand alone (generalist) role.
  • 3 years in a HR Position at Advisor level
  • Self motivated
  • Team Player who is able to work to minimum supervision.

Salary: £21,000 - £24,000 per annum (FTE) depending on experience.

Contract length: 9 months

Part-time hours: 21 per week
