ICT Services Administrator ? 25 hours per week


Based at the Hull College main site (HU1 3DG) – To provide the first point of contact for high quality IT support for Hull College Group – including face to face, email and through the ICT Services telephone call centre in a busy fast-moving environment. This will include support of college owned and Bring Your Own Devices (personal devices).


To act as the first point of contact for all internal and external ICT Service support customer enquiries. Assist all internal and external customers with their ICT issues using patience and understanding; pro-actively take responsibility and ownership for customer’s problems. Log all customer calls for ICT support, ensuring the call / ticket management system is used effectively. Act as a liaison point between the clients, ICT colleagues and external partners to provide an efficient and effective customer-oriented service.


Provide high quality first line support for Hull College Group which may include hardware, software, applications and cloud services. This will include mobile devices, software application installation and configuration, general maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of non-complex faults, along with maintaining documentation.


Assist in the maintenance of the Group?s IT equipment which may involve some manual handling and assistance with room moves.


Assist in the maintenance of the ICT inventory and ICT support training content. Provide general office administration support.


Liaise with other ICT staff and external partners to provide an efficient and effective customer-oriented service.


Essential skills, experience and qualifications:


Good educational background. Customer care experience demonstrating knowledge & understanding of customer needs and service. Knowledge of software, operating systems, computers, Apple macs, printers, peripherals, providing support for networking technologies, audio-visual equipment, telecoms and mobile devices. A professional approach to work. Ability and experience of working on own initiative. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organised, multitasking and able to prioritise own workload and incoming calls.
