Race Team Apprentice Full Time

Job Description


We are seeking to employ Race Team Apprentices to work within the fast-paced environment of our Race Team. The successful candidates will become part of a highly skilled team of mechanics and will support the various areas within the Race Team. During the apprenticeship, the successful candidates will gain experience preparing Karts and F4 cars while supporting our Heritage and Young Driver Test programs within the F1 Team. As part of the role, you will be required to work weekends and travel away from home.


  • To be trained to work to a high technical standard on a large number of different mechanical assemblies.

  • You will learn to understand, interpret and build assemblies using engineering drawings.

  • Learn to use all the process and procedures which are used to ensure quality and consistency at every stage during assembly of the cars.

  • You will work with a variety of tools and equipment to learn how to ensure the setup of the car is correct and to the required specification.

  • Training in pitstops and other trackside processes.

  • To work in a variety of other departments within the business as required as part of the apprenticeship process.

  • Safe working to within general Safety, Health and Environmental guidelines with specific attention and working to Departmental Risk Assessments and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).

  • Computer literate and able to learn new software quickly.

  • Must be able to understand basic mechanical principals.

  • Strong interest in the build and servicing of mechanical assemblies and how they work.

  • Good problem-solving skills with a solid analytical approach.

  • An enquiring mind with a real what, why and how attitude.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Confident in using hand tools and have a real hands on approach.


  • Candidate must be eligible to complete an advanced apprenticeship within a 2 year time frame.

  • Minimum 5 GCSE?s at grade C or above (these must include English, Maths and Science).


Starting salary of £18,500 per annum.
