The Domestic and Facilities Manager will need to demonstrate the values of kindness and caring, with the ability to have attention to detail, ensuring continuous high standards of cleanliness and infection control.

This position is hands-on Domestic/Laundry/Cleaning & supervisory Hours

In this role you will be responsible for a number of areas including all aspects of:

  • cleaning management- ensure all areas are cleaned to the required standards adhering to the National Specification for Cleanliness
  • laundry management- ensure all clothing and linen are safely cared for
  • catering management- alongside with the head cook and adhering to Food Safety Management System provided by the Food Standards Agency for residential care homes
  • waste management
  • furniture and equipment management


As a Domestic and Facilities Manager, you will be working with domestic department, laundry department, catering department, H&S department and finance department.

Reporting to the Home Management Team, the post holder will be responsible for the management and delivery of the service ensuring that residents, staff and visitors receive very high standards of service and quality.

You will lead by example, manage the cleaning rota, complete ordering requisites for equipment and materials, undertake audits, provide training to ensure that standards are maintained and remain updated on infection control issues with an awareness of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.


We are seeking an individual who can enrich the team of domestic, driving forward the cleanliness and infection control standards contributing to the safety and well-being of our residents, staff, and visitors.

We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate excellent team leadership, record keeping, and time management skills. You will need to have the ability to get along with people and positive energy to motivate people to achieve outstanding outcomes, against internal and external audit controls.

Salary: £21,000.00 per year
