Contract Manager Full Time

GCU are a specialised contractor that offers a full suite of services to several key sectors including: Utilities, Telecommunications, Civil Engineering and Traffic Management. With offices in Aberdeen, Inverness and Derry, GCU work collaboratively with clients to deliver projects from inception right through to completion, producing high-end results while maintaining excellent safety standards.

GCU require a Contract Manger for a £35 million Telecom Infrastructure project in Dundee.

The Contract Manager will have primary responsibility for all delivery aspects of the project, ensuring a scheduled programme of work is delivered on time and in a safe and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that delivery program and resources are in place and are delivering as per contract
  • To take a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the program for all works to the customer expectation
  • Manage and assist in the selection of staff and subcontractors
  • Managing and overseeing all aspects of project works
  • Work with Project Managers and Supervisors to ensure project milestones are met across all work areas
  • Manage the relationships between internal personnel, the project teams and the customer to ensure that the customer's requirements are fully achieved
  • Manage daily operations and production planning
  • Overall accountability for all aspects of engagement with client delivery management teams
  • Identifying risks, opportunities and any required actions
  • Develop successful and sustainable long term business relationships with the client
  • Accountable for defining and executing GCU strategy in respect to customers
  • To actively manage all client IT interfaces to help deliver our P/L and ensure our compliance with their requirements

Skills and experience required:
A proven track record of working at a senior management level on high value projects within the telecoms industry or other similar utilities would be advantageous. Managers with a civils background will also be considered. The ability to manage and supervise a project team within a fast-paced environment, understand and implement agreed plans which support the needs of the business and support operational effectiveness is required. The successful candidate will have track record of establishing a productive long-term working relationship with a client, resulting in the successful management and delivery of a multi-million-pound contract.
