Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust provides child and adult mental health services, alcohol treatment, learning disability, wellbeing and eating disorder services across Norfolk and Suffolk.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated administrator to support the team in our fantastic new COVID support service.

NSFT has launched this staff COVID support service for not only our own staff but for the wider health and social care workforce across Norfolk and Suffolk. This service will offer support to our peers who are suffering from the effects of working through a pandemic.

Main duties of the job

As the post holder, you will provide secretarial / administrative support to the team in order that they can provide an efficient service to all customers. Responding to the administrative needs of the service to ensure that the requirements of the organisation are met. The role, could include supervising lower banded staff.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who demonstrates our Trust vales of Positively, Respectfully and Together which sum up perfectly what this role encompasses.

Person specification


Essential criteria

  • NVQ 3 business Administration (or willing to work towards) or equivalent.

  • Pitman/RSA III typing/word processing, or equivalent secretarial at intermediate level.

Desirable criteria

  • Clinical Systems experience.


Essential criteria

  • Understanding and experience in a full range of secretarial procedures and systems gained through practice at intermediate level.

  • Support to responsible budget holders.

Desirable criteria

  • Working under pressure.

Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.

This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
