We have an opportunity for a HR Advisor to join us on a permanent basis at our Head Office in Leicester.

The Role:

You will be working within the Shared Service team, managing HR affairs in a timely manner. You will be the first point of contact for managers in relation to all ER cases, therefore being able to demonstrate knowledge on employee relations is a must in order that you can support the operational side of the group.

You will be arranging investigations, reviewing notes and minute taking as and when required. You will be required to ensure policies and procedures are adequate and adhered to.

You?ll be detail-orientated, confident and diplomatic. Due to the nature of the role, you will possess excellent interpersonal skills.

The nature of the role covering a group of national companies therefore dictates that you will be robust and resilient in the administration of your duties, acting always in the interests of the company and its employees.

We require a candidate who is a forward-thinker and is able to highlight and address HR matters before they arise, and to implement strategies to circumvent any risk.

You will be reporting directly to the business directors and shareholders so the ability to articulate in a concise and persuasive way will be required.

Typical responsibilities may include:

· Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business

· Reviewing and update job descriptions

· Advising managers on recruitment and selection strategies

· Assisting with and developing recruitment campaigns

· Negotiating terms and conditions of employment with staff

· Using HR information systems to access, input and compile data

· Execution of contracts digitally (sound understanding of Docusign is important)

· Monitoring performance of employees across the group

· Managing staff relationships and expectations

· Monitoring, reviewing, and updating HR policies to ensure compliance with legislation

· Undertaking investigations

· Conducting redundancies and dismissals

What we are looking for


· Knowledge/experience of the HR sector (this role will be best suited to a Human Resource of Law Graduate)

· Good IT skills

· Excellent communication/interpersonal skills

· Ability to prioritise and plan work appropriately so that deadlines are met

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team and develop relationships within the wider team

· Excellent attention to detail

· Professional and positive attitude toward work

· Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive level of understanding of employment legislation and associated principles and how to apply those in practice

· Manage HR matters digitally

· Will be able to liaise with senior members of staff


· Strong sense of self and courage of convictions

· Willingness to learn
