Job overview



We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, well-motivated individual to join the Admin team at Great Yarmouth & Waveney Acute Services located at Northgate Hospital. This post is based on the inpatient unit within Acute Services.



This post is a 12 month fixed term contract .



Acute Services incorporates an inpatient mental health ward, a Crisis Resolution Home Treatment team (CRHT) and Psychiatric Liaison service.



Main duties of the job



This role provides admin support for the clinical & medical team. Duties will include updating Lorenzo (Trust Electronic Patient System), transcribing letters and reports, ensuring test results are actioned by medics and uploaded to patient record, taking minutes of meetings as well as supporting/providing cover for the other admin team members.


      • We will be looking for you to demonstrate good communication skills with an excellent awareness and understanding of confidentiality.

      • The ability to remain calm under pressure.

      • Good typing skills.

      • Excellent interpersonal skills.

      • A flexible approach to this role is required along with the need to multitask.

Previous experience of Microsoft packages is essential and training will be provided on the Trust I.T. systems.



This post is 37.5 hours and will include working weekends.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities


This role provides admin support for the clinical & medical team.



To provide accurate, prompt and efficient administrative support to the clinical multidisciplinary team which may include spreadsheets and reports.



Liaising directly with General Practitioners and clinical staff including medical staff from other areas.



Take and process minutes for the team.



Reception cover as and when required.

Essential criteria


  • Pitman/RSA III Typing /word processing or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Understanding and experience of secretarial procedures and systems.

  • Working on own inititiave with minimal supervision

  • ICT skills including Microsoft.

  • Interpersonal Skills including taking a proactive diplomatic approach and ensuring confidentiality at all times

This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
