Mathematics Tutor Full Time

Exampion Tuition Centre is looking to recruit experienced and engaging individuals to join a team of well qualified and enthusiastic tutors.

We are looking for tutors to deliver sessions to GCSE and A level in Mathematics.

This is a part-time role which would suit somebody new to the teaching profession looking to boost their experience and income, somebody who already works part-time or has retired or any teacher/tutor looking to work in a role where they can focus on teaching interested and willing students.

All of our tutors work on a self-employed basis teaching students in small groups of up to six in our contemporary studios at the tuition centre in the heart of Wilsden village on the outskirts of Bradford. Successful candidates will have a thorough knowledge of the examination board specifications and assessment procedures together with the ability to plan and deliver engaging sessions.

Due to Covid restrictions our tutors are currently working online but we will return to face to face sessions when the centre is able to reopen.


Tutors are expected to

Plan active and engaging sessions specific to the needs of their students and the appropriate examination board

Set and mark tasks for students to complete at home.

Work with students to develop their examination technique and their self-confidence.

Provide detailed feedback to parents after each session.

Work within the centre?s policies and procedures.


The centre operates between 3.30 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. Monday to Thursday and from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. on Saturdays. Session timings are negotiated with individual tutors and there is no minimum commitment in each week.


Sessions at the centre are normally 75 minutes in duration. Pay is dependent upon the size of the group with A level sessions paying between £30 and £50 and GCSE sessions between £25 and £45.

To tutor at A level, candidates must have a Bachelor?s degree in their subject or similar and possess QTS.

For GCSE we may consider individuals who are currently working towards these qualifications or who can provide evidence of successful tutoring experience at GCSE level.

A current enhanced DBS certificate is required for this position.
