Job Title: IT Manager



Location: Wolverhampton



Salary: £50,000 to £60,000



Benefits: Car Allowance £5,700, Pension, Healthcare



Established for nearly 60 years this progressive and award winning engineering services firm, based over two sites in the UK with their head office in Wolverhampton are looking for a hands on IT Manager.



You will manage a small team of two people that focus on IT support, hence the need to be hands on as you will be their escalation point when things get technical.



We see this role being 70% hands on with the rest of your time focusing on management, projects and strategy working closely with their Finance Director.



The Role



Based in Wolverhampton, you will be responsible for the strategic growth and direction of all IT systems, leveraging technology to improve the user experience and overall efficiency of the company.



You will manage all key IT vendor relationships, contract renewals and performance management ensuring a seamless service and maximum up time.



You will project manage all IT projects as well as maintain robust security of the IT Network.



You will develop and maintain the IT strategy for the business and will communicate this to the wider business.



A key part to the role will be to build and maintain great relationships with all users and stakeholders.



Key Experience Required



You will have at least five year?s experience in an IT Management role with experience of managing a small support team coupled with current hands-on IT technical skills in the following areas:

  • Windows Server

  • Office 365 / Win 10

  • Networking ? Cisco or HP

  • VMware and vSphere 6+

  • Corporate level firewalls ? Juniper, Watchguard, Barracuda etc.

Any of the below would be welcome but are not a must have:

  • MCSE/MCITP

  • CCNA

  • Computing Degree

It is likely that you will have worked for a manufacturing, engineering, distribution, or engineering services company.



Due to the nature of their customers, you will need to be able to successfully undergo MoD Security Vetting.
