TERM: FULL-TIME, PERMANENT



HOURS: 42 HOURS PER WEEK



RATE OF PAY: £395.85 PER WEEK
PLUS COMPANY BENEFITS




SHIFT PATTERN; (6 NIGHTS FROM 7)




MONDAY: 01:30AM ? 08:30AM



TUESDAY: 01:30AM - 08.30AM



WEDNESDAY: 01:30AM ? 08:30AM



THURSDAY: DAY OFF



FRIDAY: 01:30AM ? 08.30AM



SATURDAY: 11:00PM (FRIDAY) ? 08:30AM (SATURDAY)



SUNDAY: 00.00AM ? 07.30AM

We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Ipswich Newstrade team. Our team play an important role in supporting our business to deliver world-class service and time-critical newspapers & magazines daily to our 700+ retail customers located throughout Suffolk.




Joining our friendly team, you will be supported by our experienced Night Shift Manager and operations team who will support you to manage a busy warehouse and commercial multi-drop schedule.




When you?re in the warehouse you will support the safe loading and unloading of stock from our HGV?s into the warehouse, assist the stock control team to manage inbound and outbound stock through the warehouse and work hard to achieve your packing, scanning and sorting efficiency targets.



When you?re not in the Warehouse, you?ll be out and about delivering consignments of Newstrade to our retail customers throughout the region. You'll have the opportunity to drive one of our modern 3.5-tonne vehicles and benefit from our continued investment in technology which will free you up to deliver an uncompromised level of service.




Our customers will rely on you to deliver our promises therefore, we will rely on you to ensure each delivery reaches our customers on time, in perfect condition and with a big smile too.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Unload, load, sort and accurately record deliveries
  • Pick and pack to customer specifications
  • Breakdown, allocate and load outbound deliveries
  • Assist as required within all operational work areas
  • Support stock counts and movements
  • Assemble customer supplies according to packing specifications
  • Check the quality of packed orders
  • Make sure the vehicle is loaded safely and within the legislation
  • Scan all goods on and off your vehicle and ensure all deliveries are accurately recorded
  • Ensure security of the vehicle and goods contained during transit
  • Complete all documentation as per company procedure
  • Break down, allocate and load inbound magazine supplies
  • Keep the warehouse safe, clean and tidy
  • Adhere to company procedures and policies



WHAT YOU NEED

1. Held a full UK Drivers Licence for a minimum of 3 years
2. No previous disqualifications for NI, DD or DR
3. Familiarity with most of the streets and commercial addresses
4. Physically fit to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving role
5. Hardworking, positive and a flexible attitude to work
