We are recruiting a Planned Maintenance Technician to take ownership of tasks related to PPM and TPM such as coordinating maintenance activities, collaborating with manufacturing, engineering and PM stores. Working in conjunction with the other Maintenance Planners, you will provide feedback to aid continuous improvements to existing manufacturing equipment and PM processes to improve efficiencies and productivity. Collaborating with Team Leaders, you will be responsible for the management of the PM across all shifts for your respective area. You will be responsible for shutdown planning of maintenance resources and materials for your respective area.

Job Description

As Planned Maintenance Technician, you will have the following responsibilities.

  • Implement improvements to existing PPM processes to increase productivity and efficiency within the time frame.

  • Share information with the Maintenance Leader that is potentially helpful to provide cost reductions and efficiency improvements.

  • Ensure that any statutory legislation / obligations are adhered to with regard to PPM.

  • To manage and ensure accurate data entry of SAP in relation to PPM.

  • Collaborate with the engineering stores to ensure timely and efficient management of spare parts.

  • Contribute to planning of resources, materials and workload for Plant shutdowns and collaboration with outside vendors to procure parts and equipment.

  • Work as an additional resource to the Technical teams during scheduled planned maintenance periods.

  • Work flexibly when required to support PM.

The successful candidate will have a relevant engineering qualification and a background in a production plant maintenance environment. You will have knowledge of maintenance systems and procedures and of lean manufacturing techniques. You will be IT literate and be able to understand data related to manufacturing systems
