About this role


Communications giant BT are looking for highly motivated individual for a vacancy to maintain and repair power and cooling equipment in there BT and EE estate in the Luton/High Wycombe area.


These demanding positions require you to work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards and working to industry and BT policies and Health and Safety regulations.


You'll have the following responsibilities


  • You will be accountable for the execution of tasks for repair, maintenance, provision, build and ad-hoc work assigned, as efficiently as possible and to the appropriate standard of quality.

  • To deliver exceptional customer service within the prescribed SLAs. To understand how one?s action impact the customer (internal or external) and the exchange & patch performance and reliability.

  • Key equipment you will be working with;


  • AC Power (including diesel generators)

  • DC power plants

  • UPS systems

  • Air conditioning plants

  • Remote Alarm monitoring platforms

  • Portable appliance testing

  • Gas, Fire and Flood detection

You'll have the following skills & experience


  • You should be electrically qualified up to 18th edition

  • City and Guilds 2360 part 1 and 2 or equivalent

  • Must have demonstrable experience of working on a variety of mechanical and electrical systems

  • City & Guilds 2382 Wiring Regs (18th Edition AMD3 - 2015);

  • BTEC National Certificate in Electrical Engineering; ONC or C&G 283 Electrical Technician courses

  • C&G 2381, C&G 2391, or equivalent C&G 2360 Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations;

  • NVQ Electrical Installation Engineering Level 3
