Product Director Full Time

The Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) Product Office (PrO), worksin partnership with all GTI product line teams, it is a foundational capability to take GTI's Product capabilities to the next level. This function is currently a team of 4 experienced and commercially-minded Product Managers driving the maturity of GTI's Products and implementing a product operating model that will drive GTI's journey into becoming a product-led organization. We work closely with the GTI Leadership team and product owners to identify and execute improvement opportunities and provide guidance on how to align great product operating principles to delivering and understand value to the business by delivering value to the customers.

GTI is around 8000 employees in size operating across over 100 internal products ranging from Private Cloud to Helpdesk for our 250,000 employees worldwide.

Key Responsibilities of the GTI Product Office include:

Partnering with GTI/GT product organizations for improving across the full GTI Portfolio :

  • Product Management Capability - Enhancing capabilities and improving effectiveness of product Leads and Product Managers
  • Product Strategy - Lead in aligning and creating of product strategy across GTI aligned to the GT (Global Technology)/Company vision
  • Product Value - Tooling and Training to ensure we can measure and understand product value in quantitative manner
  • Product Visibility into the portfolio of GTI products, so people can find the right product for their needs with ease and confidence.
  • Product Value Delivery - through faster adoption of product construct and mindset
  • Portfolio View - Remove Overhead and duplication (reduce)across the portfolio of products
  • Product Operating Model - Implementing product operating model to enable improved product management and product value - covering organization design, Product Career progression, governance models and metrics.
  • Product Board & Governance - Aid the GTI Head of Product in establishing and governing the Product Board, while improving its' effectiveness as a decision-making forum
  • Collaboration - Establishing communication forums and flows to raise engagement, learning and awareness across the organization
  • Demonstrating inclusive leadership, coaching for performance and promoting a culture of growth
  • Investing in relationships and improving collaboration with a "one team" mentality
  • Respecting, valuing and promoting diversity and inclusion
  • Creating an environment that recognizes achievement, promotes learning, and embraces autonomy while providing thoughtful guidance

Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience in Product Leadership/Management (Infrastructure technology area
  • preferred)
  • Experience working within a global organization and driving organizational transformation,

ideally with one which is now mature at managing its Product and Services

  • Strong influencing skills and an ability to overcome barriers and resistance
  • Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to build strong relationships and leverage people networks throughout the firm
  • Proficient in the following:

o Product Strategy Creation and Deployment

o Product Portfolio management

o Product Investment and Budget / Financial management

o Technological, Organizational and/or Operational Change management

o Conflict Resolution

o Negotiation

o In-depth knowledge of at least one technology discipline (e.g. Software delivery,

infrastructure management)

o Ability to build a culture of innovation

o Strategic planning and execution

o Product Metrics
