Medical Secretary (24 hours per week) Full Time

An opportunity has arisen for a Part time medical secretary working 24 hours per week here at Ambrose Avenue Group.

The practice?s opening hours are Monday to Friday 08:00am ? 18:30pm.

The role of a Medical Secretary is to be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the clinical and administration team. Duties can include but are not limited to, the processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner, liaising with all departments and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers in accordance with current policies, including the use of the electronic referral system. The Medical Secretary is expected to be team player, act with integrity at all times and lead by example with particular reference to promoting excellence in customer service, communication with patients, equality and diversity and patient confidentiality.

The candidate will ideally possess experience of working in a busy, public environment. Applicants will need to be flexible with a positive attitude. You will need to demonstrate good team working and communication skills and an excellent standard of patient care.

General Practice experience and knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage.

We are focused on providing the highest standard of care to our patients and are supported by a large clinical and administrative team.

Ambrose Avenue Group Practice is part of the COLTE partnership of practices and part of the ARA PCN within COLTE. There is plenty of opportunity to liaise with other practice managers and work towards more collaborative working for the future.
