HR Officer

(Leicester) to travel between sites Dunstable and Southall

Job Outline

To provide pragmatic, commercial, legally compliant HR advice and guidance to line managers within our client businesses.

Key Performance Indicators

· Produce accurate weekly and monthly reports to the Client?s management team as and when required.

· Proactively implement opportunities to improve ways of working and support the client in identifying problems and finding workable solutions.

· Assist in training and developing managers in people related matters, ensuring processes are followed and legislation are adhered to.

· Lead in GDPR matters and advice managers on their responsibility to comply with the law.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Including Decision Making, Complexity and Contact with others

This is not a definitive list, as the job will evolve in time to reflect other responsibilities.

· Providing HR related advice & support to the business, as well as being an initial point of contact for queries.

· To provide advice and guidance to colleagues and managers on disciplinary, grievances, absenteeism and performance management issues.

· Responsible for the end to end recruitment process including Induction and training for all new and existing staff.

· Reviewing current onboarding processes and make necessary changes to reflect the needs of the business.

· Produce offer letters, terms and conditions of employment, references and exit interviews for the whole employee lifecycle.

· Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices across multi-sites.

· Responsible for ensuring that absenteeism is managed through the absence management policy for both short and long term cases, including occupational referrals if applicable

· Create, develop, and maintain all company communication noticeboards

· Mentor, coach and develop the General Administrator to broaden HR skill set.

· Support the client?s HR Lead in the planning and implementation of organisation changes, HR projects and initiatives.

· Any other duties expected

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Experience required for role

· Must be a car driver and able to travel across multi-sites.

· Minimum 2 years HR Advisor experience, preferably at a senior level, CIPD level 5+

· Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.

· Able to work as a self-starter, proactively manage time and identify key priorities.

· Strong planning and organisation skills with attention to detail.

· Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly, sensitively, and confidently at all levels.

· Able to adapt to changing environment, with the ability to generate effective and pragmatic solutions, as they are presented.

· Drive, motivation and a positive can-do attitude is a must!

Desirable

· Strong commercial awareness to understand the needs of the business.

· Previous experience working with logistics environment would be an advantage.

Offer:

- £21.000 - £24.000 (depends on experience)

- Full time and stable position

- Monday to Friday
