Our Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse who has the ambition, skills and experience to play a leading role in the development of our Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service, a role which offers challenge and opportunity in equal measure.

The creation of a new provision presents a unique professional development opportunity for the right candidate. If you are a Registered Nurse on the NMC Register and hold an Occupational Health qualification to diploma or degree level we would love to hear from you.

Determined, motivated and able to work autonomously, previous experience of case management is also essential.

The position is to be based in the West Midlands region, where you will be responsible for delivering Occupational Health services, though there will be a requirement at times to travel and deliver services within our ?hubs?.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· To undertake Occupational Health screening in a clinic setting to provide comprehensive, confidential advice to managers, HR and employees to make recommendations on fitness for work and reasonable adjustments

· To carry and manage a busy caseload dealing with complex cases when necessary, for a wide range of mental and physical health difficulties, being responsible for providing an informed opinion and taking part in case conferences

· To interpret results from Occupational Health screening and advise accordingly. To refer on for advice and diagnosis to an Occupational Physician as required.

· To communicate and work collaboratively with HR professionals and liaise with external agencies as required in support of a proactive and timely approach to case management and health and wellbeing initiatives

· To produce the required reports and updates on all cases as determined by the service delivery specification

· To provide access to disability support services where appropriate
