Role: Communications Officer

Working Hours: 12 hour shifts worked on a 4 on/4 off basis- 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00- includes days, nights, weekends

Key Purpose of the Job

To provide an intelligence picture around security and Health and Safety incidents by using electronic signalling data, targeted surveillance techniques and liaising with personnel on the ground.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Responding to alarm activations in a timely and professional manner in line with NSI guidelines.
  • Detecting and reporting Faulty equipment in line with company procedures
  • Dealing with incidents as and when they arise.
  • Promoting a safe and secure environment within premises by Monitoring live CCTV images
  • Adhere to the company procedures paying attention to the Data protection act and NSI guidelines.
  • Detect and report acts of crime as they happen and in line with the company procedures.
  • Accurate report writing of incidents
  • Liaise with customers, key holders and emergency response services
  • Ensure the CCTV system is used correctly and in line with the company policies.
  • Ensure all incidents are reported on the correct platforms
  • Ensure any issues are raised with the Shift Supervisor
  • Ensure the company sickness and attendance policies are adhered to.
  • Any other reasonable requests from Management
  • Working with the Technology Centre Manager to ensure all service agreements are met
  • The post holder will ensure the health, safety and welfare of themselves and their team in accordance with the Kings Policy
  • To actively support, company policy and best practice in the area of security, with emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information
  • The post holder will understand the regulatory, fair trading and competition rules relating to their work sufficiently to be able to comply with them, relying on their own knowledge or on their ability to recognise that they will need specialist support

Essential requirements for the job

  • Experience in a Customer Service role preferably in a call centre environment
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Ability to work on an individual basis as well as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non- technical clients.
  • Excellent use of written and spoken English language
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Knowledge of Data protection
