Domestic Assistant (part time) Castle Donington

Role: Domestic Assistant, Permanent

Hours: Part time, average 25 hours per week

Shifts: Days 7:30am to Evenings finishing no later than 8:00pm

Salary: £8,72 per hour, dependent on experience plus employee benefits

Location: Castle Donington, Derbyshire, DE74 2LJ

About us

Our Castle Donington Nursing Home opened in May 2002, is a prestigious 60 bedded purpose-built home catering for a variety of residents with different needs and illnesses. The two-storey building has been specially designed to offer choice, freedom and open access to residents within small, zoned units.

Requirements for a Domestic Assistant

As an evening Domestic Assistant, you will be a key member of our team, providing the highest standards of domestic and laundry cleaning duties for our service users and communal areas. Experience preferred but is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support our service users. It is essential you work in line with IPC processes and general health and safety measures.

The ideal Domestic Assistant

· Experience: Preferred but no essential

· Excellent communication with a strong focus on attention to detail

· Great team player, flexibility to respond to the changing needs of those who we support

· Empathy, patience, optimism and compassion are essential for this role

· Effective organisational skills

· Demonstrable values and a commitment to leading and supporting colleagues and service users

· Knowledge of health and safety matters in relation to services and risk management

· Willing to work a rota pattern covering evenings, mornings, nights and weekends, over a 7-day period.
