Chartered Group Accountant

We are a manufacturing injection moulding supplier, who are currently seeking a certified Group Accountant to take a diverse finance position within the company. This exciting role supports the owners of the family run business in managing group accounts for the parent company as well as its subsidiaries in Coventry UK, China and Czech Republic.

Main duties will include, but are not exhaustive:

• Managing day to day accounting, using Sage 200 & Sage 50
• Working with the business owners on developing future forecast
• Managing KPI?s, preparing detailed monthly management accounts, and other financial reports
• Working with the external auditors to ensure the preparation, approval and filing of the annual statutory accounts for all companies
• Monitoring daily cash movements and providing the necessary information for cashflow management and planning
• Carrying out credit control function and invoice finance facility
• Managing the companies? Private Health Insurance and Cash Plan schemes as well as all aspects of utilities procurement
• Providing advice and information between group companies
• Providing other senior management colleagues with relevant financial information as and when necessary to ensure the effective operation of their business areas
• Planning and managing annual stocktakes
• Maintaining the companies? fixed asset registers, company?s books, and records, corresponding transactions with the associated company
• Completing all returns for the Office of National Statistics

You will need to have the following skills:

• Extensive knowledge of Sage 200, and Sage 50 and strong technical accounting proficiency
• Certified qualification is required (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or other relevant chartered body)
• Previous experience in preparing and examining financial records for audits purposes
• Competent in planning and providing accurate KPI?s
• First-hand experience of financial and management accounting in a commercial/manufacturing environment would be preferable

All operations will be carried out from Head Office in Coventry, reporting directly to the business owners.

Core working hours are 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday and only half a day on Friday!
