Responsibilities

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video. Our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. We're looking for a music production intern to support our music technology research group. You'll be working as part of a cross functional team of researchers, engineers, designers and music producers developing fun, interactive, musical experiences.
Responsibilities
- Review music (and audio) quality, according to different criteria and destinations
- Compose / Produce music in a variety of different styles
- Provide sound design for a wide variety of applications (sound effects, idents etc)
- Work closely with researchers and engineers to deliver high quality musical products
- Support music production team in cataloging and delivery of assets

Qualifications

- Undergraduate music degree or equivalent.
- Strong composer, with a demonstrable track record of composing and producing in a variety of styles.
- Solid understanding of music theory and its relationship with contemporary music styles
- Proficient with DAW software and plugins, and willing to learn new platforms and tools
- Strong understanding of current music trends on social media
- Good ear for identifying music and audio quality issues
- Strong capability with Microsoft Office Suite or similar cloud-based tools
- Curious, self-driven and self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative team.
Desirable
- Experience / interest in product design
- Interest in multi-media, gaming, AI and tech.
