Bookkeeper/Admin Full Time

We are a busy engineering firm in Glenrothes and are looking for extra administrative and bookkeeping support.

The role of the Admin/Bookkeeping Assistant is to act as support to the Administration and Finance teams in dealing with administration and accountancy tasks to ensure the smooth running of the full operations and support systems of the company group.

The main duties will include ?

Bookkeeping - The bookkeeper position creates financial transactions and generates reports from that information. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. The bookkeeper also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy. Knowledge of Quickbooks advantageous.

Administration role -

· Handling inbound and outbound communications through email and telephone calls

· Provide general administration support, including filing, photocopying, ordering of stationery, letter writing for managers etc.

· Any other ad hoc administrative duties requested by managers.

Skills required ?

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and excel. Processing of orders (Javelin system preferred) excellent communication and customer service skills. A ?can do? attitude.

Education ? HNC or equivalent in Administration preferred but good experience is equally valuable. Sound knowledge of bookkeeping preferably with an HNC or above.
