Group Fitness Manager Full Time

Looking for an opportunity to work outside of a typical gym envrionment and be part of our company's continued growth? Our new boutique fitness studio is opening in the next few weeks in Glasgow, G3 and we're looking for a confident, dynamic Group Fitness Manager to join our new team.

Our studio space is suitable to deliver a range of fitness classes for small groups and personal training.

As Group Fitness Manager, you will share our passion for promoting health and fitness with responsibility for managing the studio fitness timetable and member enquiries.

About the Role:

The Group Fitness Manager will be responsible for:

  • recruitment and selection of qualified fitness instructors,
  • overseeing the smooth operational running of the fitness and wellness areas,
  • promoting and advertising fitness classes,
  • maintaining an up-to-date class timetable on the website,
  • responding to member enquiries,
  • having a complete understanding of budget, targets, and forecasts for your department,
  • working directly with CEO to review continued growth opportunities within the company.

This role is initially offered on a part-time basis to cover essential setup of the new team and fitness programme with the potential to become full-time within the next 3-6 months.

Hours are flexible with the opportunity for you to deliver your own fitness classes as part of the programme should that be of interest.

About You:

Ideally, you will have already gained solid management experience with 3+ years of experience working in the fitness industry or you may have been working as a group fitness instructor and looking to take the next step in your career.

You will be a confident, self-starter, up for anything and ready to get stuck in to help us launch this exciting new programme.


  • Relevant fitness industry qualifications including Group Fitness and/or Personal Training
  • 3+ years experience working in the fitness industry
  • Understanding of fitness technology and trends
  • Professionally live and breath a healthy lifestyle
  • Strong people development skills
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in business admin and managing budgets


  • Group Fitness qualifications in Zumba, Yoga, Pilates or similar
  • Experience delivering fitness bootcamps
  • Previous management experience in a similar role
