Business Development Account Manager Full Time

We are a Sales and Business Development company opening offices in York in September. We look after our clients’ sales, business development and appointment booking requirements on a contract basis.

For our Account Managers, a typical week will involve working with two or more clients whose industries and requirements will be very different. As a result, work is always interesting and challenging with the constant opportunity to learn new things.

We pride ourselves on forming fantastic relationship with our clients, many of whom have been with us for years. We need people who will be a good fit with both us and our clients and who will fit into an already close working relationship.

Working schedules are fully flexible and days/ times/ school holidays can all be accommodated. Please let us know your availability when you submit your application.

What you will be doing:

  • Contacting businesses by phone, telling them about our clients’ products and services
  • Booking sales appointments for our clients’ teams
  • Gathering market information and feedback from our clients’ industries
  • Preparing reports
  • Working to targets in a fast paced but friendly environment
  • ABSOLUTELY NO PUSHY TELEPHONE SELLING- this is completely against the ethos of the business
  • Attending weekly sales and business development training

What we Need:

  • An excellent telephone manner
  • Good organisational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
  • An outgoing and approachable personality


These roles are for an initial 6 months but there may be the opportunity of a permanent position upon completion of this contract.
