Role- Senior Power Electronics Engineer

My client is searching for a senior power electronics engineer to join their growing team. After recently receiving funding, this company has big plans in 2020! You'll be joining at a interesting time, with exciting new product launches and product revamps in the pipeline, you?ll play a critical part in the development of new robust high-power applications.

This position will suit someone from a semiconductor, research, aerospace or similar product background, it will offer challenging work to create brand new concepts and products! You'll be working a the forefront of new technology with a world class team.

What will you be doing day to day?

· Prototyping of high voltage (5-10kV), high power (1-5kW) and high frequency (10-100 kHz) applications

· Developing products which connect to a range of power sources including solar, AC mains, batteries

· Work with the team to ensure you hit stakeholder deadlines and project milestones.

· Create simulations and complete analyses of power electronics systems in order to minimise risk

What skills/background do I need?

· Knowledge of power electronics rectification and converters

· Previous design experience of power transformers and inductors

· Analogue circuit design;

· Schematic capture and PCB layout;

· Simulation tools such as MATLAB / Simulink, P-Spice;

· Proven ability to develop, construct and commission electronics prototypes;
