JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager/ Tender Management

REPORTS TO: Director

LOCATION: Nuneaton

Salary: Up to £20,000 - £30,000

Who we are

Newman Landscapes was established in 2007 with the aim of becoming one of the leaders in the Ground maintenance industry and landscape industry. As small acorns grow into large oak trees so does Newman Landscapes.

Since 2007 the company has evolved into an award-winning company succeeding in winning many new contracts in the ground maintenance industry and to this day we are still pushing the boundaries of ground maintenance.

We want a Bid Writer/Business Development manager that also can identify a new sales opportunity when they see one in this sector and develop it.

This is a business that is growing so we need someone to be passionate and caring taking pride in their work helping to develop the company in the housing association, council and other areas in ground maintenance, winter gritting and arboriculture.

You will be overseeing the whole tender process though concept through to completion, which includes the tender submissions, selection of questionnaires and proposals making sure they are technically accurate.

· Search for new tenders on all portals and apply for them.

· Read and interpret tender documents, fully understanding the requirements of the tender and their obligations.

· Complete a tender checklist and circulate.

· Understand current service standards, local perception of the service and identify unique characteristics of the project that might contribute to their submission

· Review method statement and selection questionnaire requirements and construct a compelling response to these.

· Schedule operational meetings to develop the project with colleagues & sign off price meetings

· Prepare presentations and attend interviews with potential Clients

· Arrange and attend networking events that are relevant to the industry

· Undertake site visits to understand the project in more detail with the director.

Relationship management

· Maintain relationships at all levels across the company and be confident in dealing with the director and growing the bid writing team.

· When awarded with the contract, conduct handovers to the operational teams.

· Liaise with HR and Finance in relation to your tender submissions making sure that all data is accurate.
