Job Title: Director of Information Technology UK

Reports to: Sr. Vice President and CIO

Job Type: Full Time Exempt

Objective: The Director of Information Technology will work closely with cross-functional teams including other infrastructure and operations teams, development teams, vendors and leadership to engineer, build, test, and maintain network and systems infrastructure that ensure business goals are met in an efficient and predictable manner. This position will provide enterprise wide network, compute and data center infrastructure strategic planning, policy and leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a technical team of network engineers, desktop engineers and help desk engineers

  • Attract and retain talent through positive employee relations and leadership

  • Responsible for designing, selecting, developing, integrating, implementing network technologies and processes across all lines of business

  • Leads capacity planning and performance discussions

  • Work with cross-functional teams to map business needs to technical requirements

  • Review all IT projects for impacts to network infrastructure and systems

  • Works with end users and other internal and external groups to understand networking and telecom/unified communications

  • Maintain diagrams, policies, procedures, inventories and standards documentation for all network infrastructure and systems including disaster recovery

  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for network and systems spending, initiatives and annual budgeting

  • Maintain ticket queue according to defined service level

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills Required:

  • 5 years? experience managing and maintaining IT operations including networking and IT computer systems

  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, RDS, and IIS

  • Experience implementing and maintaining proactive monitoring technologies to ensure system uptime SLA?s are met

  • Demonstrate knowledge of IT and networking hardware and software

  • Able to work in groups and independently as required to complete tasks


  • Bachelor?s Degree required. Technology or system focus preferred.

  • Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required abilities, knowledge and skills may be substituted for the requirements as deem appropriate by the company

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/ or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

  • Job requires employee to sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area.

  • Repetitive motion, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/ or fingers.

  • Typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers.

  • Must be able to comprehend instructions, interpret documents, and apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks.

  • Ability to understand the meanings of words and effectively respond, analyze information and write reports, and comprehend complex issues and communicate effectively to diverse groups.

  • Job requires employee to preform basic arithmetic accurately and compute rates and percentages.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally (verbally and in writing) as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
