Band 6 Nurse Practitioner Ambulatory Gynaecology/Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU)



Band 6 26.25 hrs. Gynaecology Day Assessment Unit (GDAU) Prince Charles Hospital Merthyr Tydfil.



Due to the current reconfiguration of our Gynaecology Services, an opportunity exists for a dynamic, enthusiastic, experienced and motivated person(s) to join our progressive team which covers a wide array of specialities.



The post holder will be part of our innovative and forward thinking service provision which includes Integrated Sexual Health/Womens Health Service /Gynaecology Day Assessment Unit/Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit.



We seeking to recruit a nurse, with relevant experience in Gynaecology/Early Pregnancy Assessment.



The job role will involve


  • To act as specialist nurse, offering expert guidance and patient care in Ambulatory Gynaecology/Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU).

  • Participating in the day to day running of the ambulatory gynaecology day assessment unit which also combines the early pregnancy assessment unit.

  • To provide training and supervision to members of the multi-disciplinary team and participating in evidence based service development.

This post will be based in Prince Charles Hospital or the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and cover across Cwm Taf UHB sites may be required. As part of succession planning the post will also support junior staff to gain the competencies and qualifications necessary to work in this specialised service.



The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
