About the Role: The role of a support worker is to enable the residents to lead a meaningful life through the implementation of a person centred support plan. You will support them to achieve their full potential through well planned support and care that you will deliver as part of a dedicated, qualified and capable staff team who put the people living here at the heart of what we do. We strive to help people remain as independent as possible and to maximise their quality of life.
The ideal candidate for this post may have experience in learning disabilities and mental health issues (however this is not essential). Within this role you will be supported to develop an understanding of, medication procedures, safeguarding policies and person centred care.
About the Service: Orchard View is a residential home which provides individuals with the appropriate care and support to enable them to achieve their potential by enhancing wellbeing, independence and quality of life. The care and support provided to each individual needs and wants are determined at the initial pre-admission assessment.

This is achieved by establishing and implementing the individual?s desires and requirements. In addition to this the views of family?s and commissioning authorities are also taken into account around their aims, objectives and their own assessment of what is required to care and support for the individual. In recognising this, staff within Orchard View will play a significant role in the individual?s welfare and general quality of life as they are the central figure.

The Registered Manager of Orchard View is Shaun Jones who is registered with the Care Council for Wales. Shaun has over twenty years? experience within Hospital, Community and Service Residential Settings. In addition to this Shaun has the required qualification within this setting. (N.V.Q level 4 Health and Social Care for Adults). Shaun is assisted by his Deputy Manager Carol Morgan who holds QCF Level 5 qualifications and a wealth of experience within this setting.



The registration category is Learning Disabilities (adults 18 + mixed gender). Orchard View also provides care to individuals with complex care requirements. Orchard View is registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales for six (6) individuals. Orchard View does not provide nursing care.
