Aerospace Trade and Investment Advisor Full Time

at UK Government - Department for International Trade in London (Published at 07-10-2019)

  • Work with UK aerospace companies to seize new opportunities in priority markets (USA, France, Japan, China, Brazil and Canada).

  • Connect UK companies to overseas opportunities through networking, trade missions and one to one support.

  • Build an excellent relationship with DIT and FCO colleagues working in overseas posts and key partners in delivering joint objectives.

  • Build an excellent relationship with colleagues across Government, in particular with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, to promote the UK?s aerospace strategy and Sector Deal.

  • Develop a strong knowledge of, and be able to confidently explain, the UK?s aerospace investment opportunities and incentives.

  • Working across the Advanced Manufacturing Directorate.


To be successful in this role you will need to enjoy building relationships inside and outside government and be curious about how businesses work and what drives them. You will bring energy and new perspectives to the team and be willing to question the way things are done. A passion for aerospace, whilst not required, is beneficial.


  • A good understanding of how businesses operates in a commercial environment
  • Proven stakeholder management skills with excellent people skills to help you engage and influence stakeholders.
