The Company: I am currently working on behalf of an Asset Management firm based in Huddersfield who are part of a much larger, national group; and are looking to bring in an Operations Administrator in support of their field-based business development staff. The firm themselves are circa 15 staff strong now and offer a range of active and passive portfolio funds, managed model portfolios and a unique discretionary management service. Established for over 10 years now they are an ambitious, cash-rich growth orientated firm who specialise in multi-asset portfolios; and with almost £700m FUM at present offer a challenging working environment for the right person looking for a developing admin support opportunity.

The Role: As a newly appointed Operations Administrator you will be working as part of a highly productive, high performing back-office team providing full support to field-based consultants in a marketing and business development capacity. You will be accountable for:

  • Maintaining an accurate and accessible register of all data files when producing daily price, AUM and inflow reports
  • Produce accurate monthly MI reports for AUM, inflows etc. and ensure appropriate files are delivered from external platform providers.
  • Liaise with external partners, designers and compliance team to produce accurate monthly fund factsheets and follow set sign off procedures
  • Collate appropriate data of the sales team activities and assist with data production for monthly team meetings
  • Update website on a regular basis with new data holdings, information or documents as instructed
  • Creation and review of any ad hoc request reports from external partners
  • Processing of purchase orders in relation to the department finances
  • Support the production of Investment Committee packs and technical papers
  • Spot checks on external data sites to confirm compliance with Verbatim protocols
  • Support the Senior team with research and planning of services and solutions.
  • Carry out testing for new functionality and communicate any errors to the Verbatim team and third parties as required.
  • Central point of contact for support queries from the field, including ad hoc queries from advisers on proposition and products
  • Monitor sales & marketing collateral for in?house stocks and external events
  • Monitor events calendar for sales & marketing teams

The Person: The successful candidate will come from an administrative background, with financial services industry experience preferred but not essential. A strong organisational skillset is required, with the ability to communicate effectively, across multiple platforms with both internal and external stakeholders. This role will suit an administrator who holds a keen interested in the financial services & investments marketplace, with the opportunity to take on further responsibilities in line with business needs as the group expands very much obtainable to the right person.
