We are seeking a Assistant Team Leader for one of our supported living services in Maidstone.

This is an opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic and forward-thinking individual to work with an established and experienced team supporting young adults with Learning disabilities and Autism. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and motivating a staff team to work with a positive and proactive culture to identify the needs of each tenant and provide genuinely Tenant-Centred support.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the service; being fully aware of all matters associated with the health, welfare, safety and wellbeing of each tenant. You will be required to maintain professional, empathetic and informative relationships with families, professionals and other managers in the Trust to ensure that a comprehensive and co-ordinated service is offered to all tenants.

Role responsibilities include rostering staff rotas and ensuring that your staff are appropriately trained. In addition to managing the supported living service you will be expected to participate in On-Call rota.

The ideal candidate must have knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to work autonomously, prioritise, exercise discretion, use initiative and resolve conflict. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and competencies in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) are vital for this role.

A full UK driver?s licence is desirable for this role.

  • understanding of safeguarding: 3 years (Preferred)
  • working in social care and at supervisory level: 2 years (Preferred)
