They are looking for a Senior Town and Country Planner to join the office in Oxfordshire to support expanding business area and to work on a wide variety of schemes. Project work will vary from high-profile infrastructure projects across the UK, through to build development proposals for a variety of residential, office and mixed-use schemes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide town planning consultancy services to clients and client teams.
  • Working closely with our surveying, geomatics and environmental teams.
  • Review estate-wide planning opportunities and provide strategic advice on a wide variety of property types promoting land for development.
  • Preparing and submitting pre-application checks, planning applications and appeals.
  • Advising clients on permitted development rights for key infrastructure projects and linear schemes progressing planning applications as required.

Requirements

  • Chartered RTPI Town and Country Planner.
  • Good knowledge of planning law, procedures, the political framework and national context.
  • Knowledge of planning systems and relevant legislation.
  • Experience in the management and delivering of multi-disciplinary planning projects.
  • desirable experience in utilities, water, telecoms or infrastructure projects.
  • great written and verbal communication skills, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to write and prepare fee proposals for the work you undertake and advise others when inputting into larger multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Able to understand client needs and requirements when undertaking negotiations with stakeholders.
