Senior Care Assistant Full Time

The role entails supervising junior staff members, whilst working closely with the manager and taking responsibility for leading a shift. You will be working with Individuals in a Residential Care setting providing personal care, assistance with daily activities and some domestic duties. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed people to join our team to support care for Individuals aged 65+. You must be able to work well with others and have the desire to make the difference to someone's life. You will need to be able to build good relationships with the Individuals who reside with us as well as the wider team. Previous experience would be advantageous but not essential for the right candidate as explained below.

When you work as part of our team your main responsibilities will include:


  • We need you to ensure that the highest possible levels of care and dignity are maintained by supporting and assisting our individuals when required with all aspects of daily living.
  • Assist individuals in all aspects of their care needs, e.g. physical, emotional and well being.
  • Promote independence.


  • Report any changes in an Individuals physical or emotional condition to the Home Manager or Shift Lead as applicable
  • Participate in Staff and Individuals/family meetings as required

Qualifications and Skills:

  • You will need to be NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social care trained whilst also willing to work towards NVQ level 3. We will offer you support to complete any necessary training.
  • Satisfactory DBS Check
  • Ability to work on your own initiative efficiently and effectively.

The role entails working with individuals in a Residential Care setting providing personal care, assistance with daily activities and some domestic duties. Hours are variable and will be discussed at interview. However, our day shift pattern is as follows:

8am - 2pm

2pm - 8pm

4pm - 10pm

The salary will be discussed with the right candidate.
