MONDAY ? FRIDAY (6.00AM ? 2.00PM)



WEEK TWO:
MONDAY ? FRIDAY (2.00PM ? 10.00PM)



OVERVIEW



We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our Retail Logistics team whom play a critical role in supporting our UK & Ireland operations to systematically plan, implement and control the efficient movement of goods (and storage).



Reporting directly to the Transport Manager for New Business you will use your professional gravitas to positively create a customer centric environment, providing strategic direction for our transport operations, driving efficiencies and strive towards operational excellence.



You will provide oversight on a fleet of 25+ vehicles and trailers ensuring the fleet is compliant with legislation, vehicle maintenance schedules are regularly audited and our drivers are expertly managed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO


  • Oversee and coordinate the planning of routes and schedules, ensuring collections and deliveries reach their destinations safely, on time and in the most cost-effective manner

  • Ensure all drivers report and record vehicle defects

  • Ensure driver hours regulations are adhered to

  • Work closely with stakeholders to drive forward continuous improvement initiatives and foster an environment of enhanced productivity

  • Support the management of our clients end-to-end transport requirements

  • Maximise the performance of the operation and act as a key point of contact for transport team

  • Contribute positively to budget planning, KPI performance targets and the identification of change initiatives

  • Provide 24 hour incident support relating to Operational system failure, investigate and address and communicate updates in order to deliver the required standards and minimise impact on our reputation

  • Proactive management of health and safety ensuring employee wellbeing in accordance with Company guidelines

  • Manage and maintain the Transport Fleet ensuring that the all associated operations are compliant and meet legal requirements

  • Continue to review proposed and forthcoming changes to legislation and best practice


WHAT YOU NEED



Ideally you will have a background in Transport, managing people and have a detailed understanding of relevant legislations in transport and health & safety.



We look for positive ?can do? individuals whom are able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, have a professional and efficient approach to challenging situation, have a good eye for detail and demonstrate a desire to exceed customer expectations.



Finally, it will be important to have excellent relationship building skills, an ability to prioritise and manage a varied workloads, support decisions making and have confidence in your own convictions.
