Shiny Button Productions is an independent scripted comedy production company founded by Andy Brereton, James De Frond and Tom Davis, the award- winning team behind the hit BBC Three series, Murder in Successville. Shiny Button Productions is an independent label within Tiger Aspect Productions and is part of Endemol Shine UK.

The Role

Shiny Button is looking for a Team Assistant to provide effective and efficient support to the Shiny Button Team and ensure the smooth running of the office on a day to day basis. You will divide your time between PA responsibilities for the MD’s and administrative support for the Shiny Button Development and Production teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the diary of the MD’s at Shiny Button, liaising with commissioners, talent for meetings as well production and development schedules
  • The first port of call for the company, greeting guests from reception professionally and ensuring that refreshments are provided as required
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy office and organised storage space
  • Responsible for organising internal/external meetings, and booking rooms or space if the meeting it outside to the office.
  • Preparing the necessary paperwork for meetings or writing days
  • Dealing with all Shiny Button Post and General enquires to the company
  • Coordinating Travel arrangements for meetings and business trips for the team, and for writers who live outside of London – providing details itineraries and currency when needed
  • Managing expenses for the team, raising PO’s for all purchases and reconciling the business credit card
  • Maintaining office supplies
  • Maintaining Shiny Button’s social media, promoting current productions and the company
  • Create and maintain any filing and database systems, carrying out regular reviews to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of these
  • Manage and organise the induction of new starters – including new starter email and building pass
  • Writing awards submissions and collating relevant information for the production
  • Transcribing notes in meetings
  • Proofreading and spellchecking scripts and treatments

Skills/experience required

  • Proven experience working in a PA role is desirable
  • A highly organised and flexible approach to work, including the ability to prioritise workload
  • Fully developed IT skills, including high proficiency in Word and Excel. And ideally Photoshop & PowerPoint
  • A self-starter who is used to working on their own initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to communicate confidently and clearly, both verbally and in writing
