Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assessing the technical feasibility of newly-created product ideas and proposing accurate solutions throughout the design and development phase
  • Leading the project team to develop estimates and overall implementation solution plans
  • Preparing and delivering technical proposals and presentations to all involved stakeholders
  • Collaborating with an international backend team to define, build out and run standardized deployments for applications
  • Performing problem analysis and troubleshooting for optimal site reliability, supporting projects on any possible site reliability problems
  • Leading the architecture of RESTful, GraphQL or similar APIs for backend services
  • Defining and documenting best practices on the technologies being used to support Fueled’s commitment to excellence
  • Mentoring and guiding more junior technical resources
  • Generating convincing and substantiated technology and architecture recommendations

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has 6+ years of professional development experience; DevOps experience is a plus
  • Has 3-4 years of experience working with Python and Django; experience with Node.js is a plus
  • Has experience in working in an Agile development environment
  • Has experience in common public API services; knows how to navigate through documentation and be completely sure
  • Has experience working with Stripe for payment processing, Django REST Framework for building RESTful APIs, and GitHub
  • Is an excellent written and verbal communicator, who can present and explain complex software solutions to clients and project teams
