Bisham Abbey is also a Conferencing and Event Centre, boasting a large number of recently refurbished rooms and outdoor spaces for weddings, corporate events and team-building days. It is located close to London and major transport links, and sits on the borders of Berkshire and Buckinghamshire in stunning grounds on the banks of the River Thames

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Bisham Abbey who are recruiting for a Finance Administrator to work full time, 39 hours per week working Monday- Friday 9:00am-5:30pm.

In the role of Finance Administrator, you will report into the National Centres Finance Manager. You will be required to maintain and control an effective on-site finance administration function. This will include the following responsibilities which is not an exhausted list you may be asked to cover other finance areas for the business:

  • Management of the finance system for cash collection, banking and receipting.

  • Maintain records of cash, invoices and expenditure.

  • Establish and maintain debtor and creditor monitoring systems.

  • Raise sales invoices in a timely manner, by liaising with the sales team and other stakeholders

  • Manage credit control systems ensuring efficient debt management.

  • Aid the month end process by liaising closely with the Management Accountant and other contacts at head office.

  • Manage payroll grievances and queries to both line managers and individual staff members.

  • Update pre-list payslips with records held for sickness, SMP, SPP and other statutory payments

  • Facilitate with onboarding and offboarding of staff, by updating information to payroll and overseeing the induction pack process


This role will require a strong experience of administration and presentation skills as you will be sending reports and attending meetings with various stakeholders across the organisation. Some previous experience in a previous finance role would help. It would be desirable for the candidate to hold a degree such as Economics or a basic AAT certificate. This is not essential as we would consider candidates with the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
