About Us

Retail Associates Ltd is a supplier of new front end equipment to food retailers. We are also an industry leading specialist supplier of checkout refurbishment services, maintenance and associated equipment to major supermarkets. The company has development plans to expand the existing service and maintenance sectors outside of food retailing and the shareholders are looking to add substantial growth to the business during the next 5 years.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Business Development Manager to be the driving force behind generating new leads and growth for the business.

Job duties to include the following:

  • Identify new business opportunities, evaluating their position in the market and analysing sales options.
  • Present, promote and sell products / services by establishing contact and developing relationships with potential new customers.
  • Assist with planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
  • Attend meetings and industry events to help promote our business and seek out new opportunities.
  • Work towards achieving sales targets and together with the sales team develop clear reports on progress for the business.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Focused, motivated and target driven.
  • Proven track record in a field sales environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident approach to meeting new clients.
  • Ability to identify sales opportunities and follow through to conclusion.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Full UK driving license (2 years minimum).

Additional training and support will be given as required. Excellent opportunities to progress with in the business for the right candidate.


A basic salary plus performance related bonus/commission will be paid, (OTE in the region £35k+) together with 25 days holiday, a company car/car allowance, Laptop & mobile phone.
