To support this growth, Den Hartogh is looking to recruit an Account Manager for our office in Stockton. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure in a fast-paced environment where you will gain a good understanding of the business as a whole, enabling you to shape your future career with Den Hartogh.

In cooperation with a team of Account Managers you will be responsible for a growing portfolio of customers. You will take ownership of the operational contacts (from order to invoice) with your customers. You will analyse the financial and operational performance and focus on continuous improvement. Together with your Procurement and Planning colleagues you will explore creative transport solutions to reduce costs or gain new business. Your creative ideas will support the Commercial team in offering maximum added value for our customers.

Key skills required for the role are:

  • Affinity with Operations and Commerce
  • Customer orientated with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage a combination of the daily operations and improvement projects
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to ever-changing scenarios
  • Excellent and accurate verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in the transport logistics sector would be an advantage

The role will require occasional European travel and a valid passport is a necessity.
