Bid and Contract Manager Full Time

A Bid and Contract Manager with a knowledge of Networking and Security is required in Twyford on a permanent basis.

Role: Bid and Contract Manager

Salary: Up to £40,000pa

Location: Twyford

Manage and maintain contracts with customers and suppliers across different products and services

Support the business with bids and costings with a view of increasing revenue and margin

Manage and selection of 3rd party suppliers ensuring the costs and deliverables are at an optimum

Responsible for:
Contract Management – content and approval

Being the primary contact for all internal enquiries relating to bids and 3rd party suppliers.

Ensuring 3rd party suppliers deliver a quality service

Bid support and costings

Engagement where required in escalations of 3rd party suppliers

Working relationships:
As well as customers, the Bid and Subcontract Manager will interact with teams such as Service Desk, Engineering, Finance and other internal departments as required.

Key tasks:
The role is responsible for achieving excellent customer satisfaction by delivering support to sales and operations and to undertake the following key tasks:

Be the central coordinator for all customer and supplier contracts

Be the central coordinator for all bid opportunities

Create, Implement and manage an engagement process

Support and compile Cost models

Be a point of escalation for the Service Desk to advise on customer-specific queries/incidents related to 3rd party support

Manage 3rd party suppliers with regular reviews

Support in the compilation of contracts

Manage and supply regular monthly reporting on, but not limited to:

Number of bids, wins and losses

Spend with suppliers

Ongoing review of a preferred Suppliers

Performance of suppliers against SLA

New Contracts won

Maintain professional working relationships with customers, vendors, suppliers and work colleagues.

Flexibility to carry out other support roles within the business where skills and knowledge would be a benefit to the business and individuals

Key skills required:
Ability to handle customers at both an operational and senior level

Good interpersonal and communication skills - presentation, written and verbal

Excellent IT literacy, particularly in Word and Excel

Ability to prioritise a busy workload;

Ability to meet deadlines and maintain high standards even when under pressure

Personality skills:
Must be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative

Must work well in a team environment
