Digital Project Director Full Time

Job Summary

We’re a fast growing digital agency specialising in WordPress looking for a digital project management/production expert who is passionate about silky smooth delivery, high quality work and happy clients to join our team and pioneer our production processes moving forwards.

Fascinated by digital, you will take ownership for project delivery across the agency, delivering innovative website design and build projects for your clients. You will lead the vision for project management within the agency, ensuring both profitability and high-quality delivery of projects whilst managing the agency’s production team. As part of the leadership team you will report directly to the MD, and you will take responsibility for the long-term direction of project delivery and the quality of output of the agency.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Provide the vision and leadership for the production team within the agency and take responsibility for the quality of their output

- Ensure all production processes are embedded and utilised or adapted effectively to deliver client projects. These include, but are not limited to: scoping, estimating project costs, forward project planning, resourcing, quality assurance, risk and assumption management

- Provide regular and accurate reporting to the MD

- Build influential relationships with key client decision-makers whereby they trust and value your opinions and seek advice on their business and project issues

- Play an instrumental role in growing existing client relationships and accounts by designing and executing production strategy, attending pitches and client meetings and leading on the production aspects of client proposals

- Provide leadership and counsel to clients at key points during project delivery, representing work to them and ensuring they are comfortable with project scope, quality, costs and status throughout a project lifecycle

- Contribute to new business pitches and responses within the agency, including presenting responsibilities of our delivery approach to new business clients

- Coaching, supporting, mentoring and growing your production team

- Oversee resource management to ensure that resource is effectively managed against delivery and budget

- Manage the process for scope changes/change requests with both internal stakeholders and client decision makers

- Proactively manage project administration, financial reconciliation and utilisation reporting

- Conduct regular retrospectives to assess how well a project was delivered and improve things moving forwards

- Develop and scope project proposals and statements of work leveraging experience of digital strategy, technical environments and user experience

- Own key accounts with a view to increasing sustainable account spend and repeat business

- Provide consistent, effective and efficient delivery of all projects within your client group ensuring they are within scope, quality measures, timelines and budget

Requirements

- Broad digital knowledge with an appreciation of all the skills required to develop high-quality digital projects, including but not limited to design, user experience, technology, content and analytics

- Strong experience of project management in a digital agency as senior project manager/producer or above, working in a fast paced client-facing environment

- Track record of overseeing the simultaneous delivery of multiple projects across complex website design and builds

- Broad understanding of digital technologies, including experience working with WordPress

- Experience working with Agile- Ability to multi-task while consistently maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail

- Exceptional leadership skills with the confidence and integrity to earn client and internal team confidence and get things done

- Innovative problem solver with the ability to apply a rigorous analytical approach to identify issues and deliver solutions quickly

- A collaborative communicator with excellent communication and presentation style

- Strong client management skills with the proven ability to build and lead senior client relationships and manage stakeholders

- Proven experience of delivering high-quality output while delivering against commercial requirements
