Payments & Cash Management Sales Support Officer M/F - VIE London Full Time

Your environment

At Société Générale, you will joining our Global Transaction & Payment Services (GTPS) are designed as well as domestic and international companies and institutions seeking support with transactions (bank, commercial and corporate transactions) and/or payments.


Your role

During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:

Part of the Global Transaction Banking division, the mission of the Sales Support Officer will be to support the GTB Relationship Managers in their commercial activities.

In liaison with all the GTB RMs, the successful candidate will help prepare the meetings, attend the meetings, and take responsibility for following up actions points until completion.

By identifying new opportunities (“farming”), the Sales Support Officer will help grow the portfolio organically and increase the NBI of the branch.

Summary of responsibilities

The successful candidate will work with the GTB RMs to actively review some of the relationships in their portfolio with an objective to market Payments & Cash Management solutions in order to increase the NBI.

Products and services to be marketed will include, amongst others:

o Bank accounts (current, escrow, charged...)

o Domestic and international means of payment

o Foreign Exchange (when related to cross-border payments)

o Electronic Banking products as well as associated services

o Liquidity Management solutions

o Active cross-selling with the different Business Lines of the Bank, especially the international retail banking network.

All commercial actions shall be recorded in the CRM tool and documented on the common drive.

Provide feedback from clients/prospects to Product Development Division in order to ensure the Bank maintains a competitive position in the International Corporate Cash Management market.

Help the GTB RMs in their commercial activities by preparing specific activity reports, relationship reviews, launching KYC requests and customer on-boarding process, drafting commercial presentations.

Act as back up of the GTB RMs when they are absent.

Candidate will have intensive interaction with the Customer Support team re: operational topics.


The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.

Your profile

Graduate from Engineering school, Business School or University with a master degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Communication, Finance.

You ideally have a previous experience in relationship management, banking or financial environment.

You have basic Cash management knowledge.

You are fluent in English and French.

You are proficient with MS Office (Excel and PPT).
